See how fast you can get out of debt
Looking for more information on how you can overcome your debt? A debt management plan will help you get back on track with your finances and put an end to those harassing creditor calls. Here’s how we can help.
What We Do
CreditGuard of America, Inc. has been helping people get out of debt for over 20 years. When you enlist our help, we work with your creditors and lenders to reduce your outstanding debts and consolidate your various unsecured bills into one easy monthly payment — making it easier for you to pay off your debt, and making it easier for your creditors.
Most of our members are able to pay off their credit cards and other unsecured debts within four to five years.
What is Unsecured Debt?
Unsecured debt is any debt that is not attached to a particular asset. A few common examples are credit card bills, medical bills, and student loans. These debts can start small but can easily snowball if you’re not careful.
How Exactly Does Debt Management Work?
Our debt specialists work with your creditors to negotiate lower monthly payments and decrease or eliminate your credit card interest. We can reduce your existing payments by up to 50 percent by consolidating your bills into a single monthly payment. Depending on the creditor, we may also be able to waive all late fees, all penalty fees and work toward bringing your accounts back to a “current status” after 3 months.
In addition to our financial services, our credit counselors will also provide additional educational resources to help you stay on top of your finances, including credit management tips, household budgeting advice and other management guidelines to help you budget successfully.
The bottom line: We help you get out—and stay out—of debt.
How Much Does The Debt Management Program Cost?
Because we are a non-profit, we receive most of our support from voluntary contributions. Our members pay a low initial setup fee and then a monthly fee equal to 1.2 percent of the balance up to a maximum of $55.00 per month. (Please note that this fee may vary depending on your location.)
How You Can Qualify
If you owe a minimum of $2,000 in unsecured debt and are 30 to 90 days behind on your monthly bills, then you may be able to qualify for our debt management program. Even if you are “current” on all your bills but can’t seem to make any headway, you may still be able to qualify.
