Q. Who is CreditGUARD of America, Inc.?

A. CreditGUARD of America is recognized as a federal not for profit organization under section 501(c)(3). We provide credit counseling, education, and free financial tools for getting out of debt.

Q. What credentials does CreditGUARD of America, Inc. have?

A. CreditGUARD of America is a member of Better Business Bureau (BBB), Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce, and Association of Independent Consumer Credit Counseling Agencies (AICCCA). In addition, CreditGUARD of America is certified ISO 9001, which is a worldwide quality assurance standard.

Q. How is CreditGUARD of America, Inc. funded?

A. CreditGUARD of America receives primary support from voluntary fair share contributions. These contributions are donated by creditors who participate in our Debt Management Program.

Q. How are your credit counselors certified?

A. CreditGUARD of America, Inc. requires credit counselors to successfully complete a comprehensive credit counseling program and pass Credit Counselor Certification by National Institute for Financial Education of America (NIFE).

Q. How long does the first credit counseling session take?

A. Typically, the counseling session takes anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour depending on your credit situation and the time you need to get answers to all of your questions. It’s important to set aside the time to talk to our certified credit counselors to make sure we have all the details on your debt problems and ample time to discuss different financial solutions.

Q. Do I need an appointment with your counselors?

A. You do not need to set an appointment with our counselors in advance. Here’s the best part. CreditGUARD of America is available to help you from Monday through Saturday for your convenience. You do not need to take a day off work, with your spouse, to meet face-to-face with a counselor. You can call us from the privacy and comfort of your own home with all of your files at your disposal.

Q. What kind of financial solutions does CreditGUARD of America, Inc. have for my debt problems?

A. Our credit counseling agency has a variety of financial solutions for debt problems including: Debt Management Program, Debt Consolidation through Home Equity Loan, Advice for Getting Lower Interest Rates, Bankruptcy and Personal Budgeting.
